What dose of High Potency Sleep tincture should you take? 

Cannabinoids’ effects are highly individual.  A number of factors determine your ideal dosage. This can include your weight, metabolism, and genetics among others. Because each individual’s endocannabinoid system is unique, some people only need a small amount to receive their desired benefits, while others may require much higher doses to experience the same effects. If this is your first time trying CBD, we recommend starting with a small dose of only 5-10mg and increasing it later if desired. CBD can take 30-90 minutes for you to feel it’s effects and benefits, so wait up to 2 hours before ingesting another dose.  A good rule of thumb to follow: you can always take more, you can never take less.

To find the amount of Sleep Tincture that is right for you, start with up to ½ mL, and adjust as needed. The dropper is marked every 0.25 mL. Each milliliter contains 50mg of CBD, 25 mg CBN and 25 mg of CBG.

Why we chose to enhance the amount of CBN and CBG for our Sleep Tincture?

CBN (Cannabinol) is found in hemp plants and is known to have therapeutic benefits similar to other popular cannabinoids like CBD and CBG. CBN primarily binds with the CB1 cannabinoid receptor of the endocannabinoid system, which is a receptor that can help improve sleep.  CBN has several potential benefits, including promoting better sleep, a sense of calm or relaxation, and relief from inflammation. Although the FDA has not evaluated CBN for any medical or therapeutic applications, many users report it as an effective sleep aid as it is known to improve the sleep-inducing effects of CBD, calming effects of THC,  and other cannabinoids.

CBG, like CBD, works with our CB1 & CB2 receptors. CB1 and CB2 are believed to be linked with most of the body’s systems, including the central nervous system and peripheral nervous system, as well as the immune system. In humans, these receptors are abundant in the brain, immune cells, bone, liver, pancreas, skeletal muscle, blood vessels, kidneys, gastrointestinal and fatty tissue. Like CBD, CBG is non-intoxicating. In fact, it may have properties that counteract the psychoactive effects of THC, which may reduce some of the adverse effects of the compound.  CBG has also been shown to regulate mood and naturally boost production of anandamide in the body.  This powerful neurotransmitter is known for improving memory and other cognitive functions. In some studies, CBG was the stronger advocate for the benefit of soothing sore muscles and joints and other bodily discomforts. And we know that if our body hurts, we don’t get the same quality or quantity of sleep we require, and we are finding in preliminary users of our new CBD Sleep Tincture, users are having less soreness, and therefore are sleeping better.
